Understanding Ramadan and Eid at Oxclose Primary
Back
As a school, we recently hosted a special celebration day focused on learning about Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.
We were fortunate to welcome Muslim visitors, Brother Khadim and Miss Maria, who shared their personal experiences and insights, teaching the children about the significance of these important occasions in the Islamic faith.
The visitors explained how Ramadan is observed by fasting, prayer, and reflection, and how Eid al-Fitr marks the end of this holy month with celebrations, feasts, and family gatherings.
It was a wonderful opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of the diverse cultures and traditions that make up our community in the UK.
