Key Stage 2 Pupils Take to the Stage at Cross-Trust Comedy Competition

In December, some of our Key Stage 2 children were chosen to take part in a truly extraordinary event - the cross-Trust joke competition, held at The Stand Comedy Club in Newcastle. Finalists were chosen from primary schools at LST and came together to perform their best jokes.

Alot of preparation and planning led up the event, with children practising and perfecting their jokes, focusing on volume, expression and comedic delivery to wow the audience of fellow pupils and teachers - and wow them they did!

The day started off with a master class from a local comedian, who shared her own experiences and 'wamed up' the crowd, ready for the main act - the pupils! Mya, Lewis, Theo and Myles didn't let the bright lights on stage daunt them; they performed with confidence, expression and brilliant timing! 

We had a fantastic day out and learned we are all extraordinary, in our own way.
