Pupils Take Action to Keep Washington Tidy
Back
A group of pupils from Oxclose Primary Academy have been taking part in a hands-on environmental initiative to help improve their local community.
Thanks to funding awarded to Keep Washington Tidy by the Ballinger Trust, a small group of children have been working alongside Becky to take part in regular litter picking sessions in the local area. The project forms part of an ongoing commitment to educate young people about the impact of littering on the environment and the importance of taking pride in their surroundings.
During their first session, pupils made an immediate difference, collecting an impressive six bags of rubbish in a short space of time.
The initiative not only supports the local environment but also helps pupils develop a sense of responsibility and community awareness. Oxclose Primary Academy looks forward to continuing its involvement in this valuable project.
