Reception Pupils Celebrate Elmer Day at Washington Library

Reception pupils from Oxclose Primary Academy recently enjoyed a wonderful visit to Washington Library to celebrate Elmer Day with Wendy.

During the visit, children listened to stories about Elmer, the much-loved colourful patchwork elephant, and took part in a range of fun activities linked to the story. The sessions encouraged pupils to explore the importance of friendship, kindness and celebrating what makes everyone unique.

The visit provided a fantastic opportunity for pupils to develop their Listening, Speaking and Creativity skills whilst enjoying stories in an engaging and interactive environment. Staff were incredibly proud of how beautifully the children behaved throughout the visit and it was clear to see how much they enjoyed the experience.
